Our Faith Formation Program offers children and youth with opportunities to become faithful followers of Jesus.
Parents are the first and best teachers of their children in the matters of faith. When a parent requests Baptism for their child, the parents promises to raise their children in the faith. Our catechists teach the children and try to support the ongoing faith formation of their parents.
Our Faith Formation Program incorporates the six tasks from the National Directory for Catechesis:
- Promotes the knowledge of the faith
- Promotes the knowledge and meaning of the Liturgy and Sacraments.
- Promotes the moral formation in Jesus Christ.
- Teaches parishioners how to pray.
- Prepares parishioners to live and work with one another, participating actively in the life and mission of the Church.
- Promotes a missionary spirit that prepares the faithful to be present as Christians throughout the world.
