Saint Mary’s Church prepares Roman Catholic children affiliated with Saint Mary’s Church for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. This sacrament is ordinarily celebrated in Grade 3.
Preparation for the reception of the Sacrament involves the parents, catechists and children. Only children who have been baptized in the Roman Catholic Faith can participate in this preparation. If you have a child who is not baptized (or was baptized in a non-Catholic faith), please visit Order of Christian Initiation for Children.
PREPARATION FOR PARENTS of all children celebrating First Holy Communion at Saint Mary’s includes a meeting on the evening of January 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Hammes Hall.
PREPARATION FOR CHILDREN enrolled in our weekly Faith Formation Program who are celebrating First Holy Communion includes a THREE SPECIAL PRACTICE SESSIONS:
Thursday, April 19th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 24th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 26th 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
First Holy Communion for children enrolled in Saint Mary’s School begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012. The children will enjoy a special breakfast in Hammes Hall on the morning of Monday, April 23, 2012.
First Holy Communion for children enrolled in our weekly Faith Formation Program begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The children will enjoy a special Pizza Party in Hammes Hall on the evening of Monday, May 7, 2012.
