What kind of returns will my child receive from an education at St. Mary's School?

Here are some options available to help pay your tuition.
|Option #1:||Parish Subsidy: Catholic Families will receive a subsidy application form in their registration packet. These forms need to be completed and submitted to their Pastor. See the Tuition Schedule or the Subsidy Application form for current subsidy amounts. Families of children in Grades K-8 may apply. There is no fee.|
|Option #2:||Diocesan Assistance: Catholic families who belong to a Diocese of Gary parish and want to enroll their children in any diocesan school, Kindergarten-Gr. 12 may apply. The application is available online at http://www.dcgary.org/catholic-schools.htm. Click on the tuition assistance tab and you will be directed to the application. If you require a paper copy, you must contact the Diocesan Schools Office at 769-9292 and request a copy be mailed to you. A $30 fee must be paid for all applications. Even if you are not 100% certain about enrollment/admission – you are encouraged to apply. Any awards will be declined later if your children do not attend St. Mary’s.|
|Option #3:||School Choice: We are a proud participant in the State of Indiana’s School Choice (Voucher) program. You can visit the State of Indiana site at www.doe.in.gov/choice for more information. If we have more Choice Applicants than spaces available (by grade), we are required to conduct a lottery for the available seats.|
|Tuition Payment: All families are required to pay their tuition through FACTS, our tuition management company. Upon admission, you will be instructed on how to proceed with setting up your tuition account. You can select a 10-month, semi-annual, or an annual payment plan. Who qualifies for diocesan assistance and how much assistance can I expect? Tuition assistance is based on your family's income, number of dependents and any extenuating circumstances. Grant awards vary depending on you family's financial situation and well as the amount of funds budgeted for grants by the diocese.
What if my financial situation changes during the school year? In some cases the family's financial situation changes during the school year. In these cases, the family is encouraged to speak with the business manager immediately.
