Mrs. Amy Cox
3A Teacher’s Aide
St. Mary’s Staff Since 2019
Why I teach:
I am extremely blessed to be a St. Mary parent and also have the opportunity to help teach the Catholic faith. My mother was a CCD teacher during my entire childhood and taught the sacrament of Holy Communion. I followed in her footsteps teaching Pre-K CCD during and after high school. I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering here at St. Mary School and am thrilled to be within the classroom on a daily basis. Our students are truly inspiring and it means the world to me to assist in giving them a strong foundation.
Current student at Indiana University Northwest: Elementary Education
Kankakee Comm. College: Paralegal Studies
I have an extensive volunteer history at St. Mary’s that includes assisting with the 8th grade program. I look forward to continuing to help in a variety of ways.
I enjoy being outdoors, especially with my family. We love taking long bike rides, searching for neat rocks and fossils and hiking. We love to travel and are obsessed with all things Disney. I once had an internship at Walt Disney World as a full-service host at Tony’s Town Square on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. Training at the Walt Disney Institute was truly an honor and certainly an experience that will stay with me forever.
