General Meetings

General meetings provide opportunities for parents to ask questions, make suggestions and bring home important information about our children’s school year.  Meetings are held five times per year in Hammes Hall at 6:30 p.m.:

Financial Update

Last year (05-06) was a record breaking year of fundraising activities.  Net of expenses, our association raised over $135,000.  This far exceeded our budgeted contribution of $100,000.  While the main focus has been our financial commitment to the air conditioning project, we still contributed over $46,000 to various programs we support at the school.  These include direct contributions to our teachers for classroom enhancements, the art program, technology improvements, and assemblies.

Last year, we contributed $180,000 towards the air conditioning project.  This represented a major portion of our estimated commitment of $230.  This leaves our estimated future commitment of $50,000.  With continued success of our fundraising efforts, we plan to fulfill our commitment within the next two  years.

We begin the year with a net worth of over $65,000.  We have set aside $35,000 of that to save for both future budgetary needs of the school as well as funding of our air conditioning project.  The rest will be used for upfront operating costs of this year’s fundraisers.

Back to School Update

The St. Mary’s Home and School Association is an important link between parents and the school.  The association organizes and executes major fundraising events used for the social and academic enrichment of your children.

Your participation in these events and programs leads to  the eight (8) St. Mary fundraiser credit hours that you are required to fulfill.  Your gift of time is essential to the success of these events.  Help is always needed and appreciated.  See below for the events and programs scheduled for this school year.
